Why Did You Choose KTEC?
I believe there needs to be a fundamental shift in education to fit the needs of students and the community. I believe that KTEC High School is making strides in the direction of this necessary shift and I am proud to be a part of the necessary change. I firmly believe in education that is inclusive to all and with the hands-on Project Based Learning approach that KTEC takes in the classroom, the learning is inclusive.

I became a long-term sub here in 2022 shortly after student teaching. I enjoyed the students and staff so much in that time, so I happily have been the full time Social Studies teacher since.

Why Did You Choose KTEC?
I chose KTEC because of the mission and vision of the school closely aligning with my teaching philosophy. I think that this is an amazing opportunity to help students be successful in their futures whether that is a highly skilled trade, a 4 year college, or any other plan. I also am excited to be provide organized physical activity for our students as KTEC currently doesn’t offer organized sports. I love that I will be able to know all the students in the school and work closely with the other teachers as well.
